Secular Oratory

Secular Oratory

Tuesday Evening Oratory is an opportunity for members of the laity to participate in traditional, Oratorian-style contemplation and prayer. Each Tuesday Oratory begins at 18:55 in the Church with the Rosary. Thereafter, a reflection is given by one of the Fathers on matters pertaining to the spiritual life, prayer or virtue etc. This is followed by a time for silent and communal prayers. Evenings conclude with refreshments at the Oratory house. Newcomers are asked to contact the office ahead of time so that a member of the Oratory can welcome and guide you through the evenings proceedings.

In preparation for Christmas and Easter, Tuesday evening Oratory is replaced by Lenten Oratory and Advent Oratory. These take on a slightly different format to the usual Tuesday gatherings. All parishioners are invited to attend a series of themed evenings of prayer and contemplation in the church as part of the penitential seasons of Lent and Advent.
